Simple, honest pricing

Three deductions, in order. Your customer pays your price plus a flat 2.5% Booking Protection Fee (same on every plan, non-refundable — how it works). Stripe's card processing comes off that total first — roughly 1.5% + 20p on a UK card, a little more on Amex and overseas cards. Then Bookr takes its percentage of what's left: 2.5% Starter, 2.4% Duo, 2.25% Studio, 2.1% Shop, 1.95% Chain. No minimum. On a £100 service on Starter the customer pays £102.50, card processing is about £1.74, Bookr's fee is £2.52, and you receive £98.24. On Chain you'd receive £98.80. Stripe never sends you a bill — its fee is taken out of the payment before you're paid, and you can see the exact amount on every booking.

The difference that matters: Fresha and Treatwell are marketplaces and Bookr isn't. They can introduce you to clients you'd never have found, and they charge a share of those clients for doing it — Treatwell 35% plus VAT on a new client's first booking, Fresha a one-off 20% (minimum £4). Booksy is £40/month plus VAT with £5/month per extra user, and takes a one-off 30% (minimum £5) on a new client's first visit if you switch on its optional Boost feature. Bookr takes no commission on any booking, new client or repeat, with nothing to opt into — and never lists your competitors beside you. But it will never bring you a customer either. There's a 48-hour booking protection hold after each appointment (so customers can raise a dispute if needed), then Stripe processes the bank transfer — typically 2–5 working days after the hold expires. For new Stripe accounts the transfer window may be longer (up to 7 days) until your account builds history. Once verified, you can switch to a weekly or monthly payout schedule from your payout dashboard in the app.

No. Starter is free forever — build your full booking page, set up services, hours, photos and your team without paying a penny. Connect your bank in the app and your Starter page takes card payments — no subscription needed. Downgrade any time and your bookings, customers and data all stay put.

Yes, any time. Upgrades are prorated to the day, downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You won't lose any of your bookings, customers, or data when changing plans.

You decide. Refunds are issued from your dashboard in one click, and Bookr's fee is returned automatically when you refund the customer in full. Stripe does not return its card-processing fee on a refund — that cost is Bookr's, not yours. The 2.5% Booking Protection Fee is non-refundable — it covers customer protection regardless of the booking outcome.

Set your own cancellation policy — for example free cancellation up to 24 hours before — and customers agree to it when they book. With card payments taken at booking, a no-show on a non-refundable policy stays paid.

Yes. Before payouts switch on we run a quick one-time identity check — usually about 5 minutes: a passport or driving licence, your bank details, and business address. Everything is handled securely by our regulated payments partner; we never see your ID documents.

Right now Bookr is UK-only and runs in GBP (£). EU and US support is on the roadmap — drop us a line at contact if you'd like to be notified.

A few things working together. First, your booking page is private — invisible to the public — until you complete a one-time identity check to connect your bank (a real government ID and bank details, handled securely). That makes it effectively impossible to bulk-register page links. Second, we may reclaim long-dormant page links that have never taken a booking, so good links don't stay locked up by accounts that aren't really using them. Active businesses — especially those on paid plans — are never affected.

Yes. No contracts, no notice period. Cancel from your dashboard and you're done — you keep all your data and can export it as CSV. Your booking page goes offline at the end of the current billing period.

No. Customers can book as guests with just an email — they get a confirmation, a reminder, and a link to their booking. They can optionally create a free account to see all their bookings in one place and reschedule in one click.

All data is stored encrypted in EU data centres (Supabase / AWS Frankfurt). We're UK GDPR compliant. You can export your full data — bookings, customers, services — as CSV from your dashboard at any time. See our Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
