Most booking software is made for salons with 12 chairs or consultants billing £400/hr. Barbers, trainers, photographers and coaches still take bookings over WhatsApp and Instagram DMs, and chase payments. Bookr is for them.
Why we built this
We kept hearing the same story. Someone messages at 11pm asking, "Are you free Friday?" After a back-and-forth about times, they go quiet, turn up two hours late, or ask to pay next week. Every booking turns into admin.
The tools meant to fix this either cost £100+ per month and were full of features nobody asked for, or were free and looked last updated in 2014. Neither suits a one-person business that takes 20 bookings a week and wants the customer to pick a slot, pay and turn up.
Most people pay with their phone now, and customers are happy to pay through a link. Stripe has made taking card payments online a 10-minute job. Bookr puts these together for people who work for themselves.
